Hansen Named Preseason Athlete to Watch

Graduate student Nicole Hansen has been tabbed as a Preseason Athlete to Watch in the Summit League Preseason Coaches poll that was announced this morning. Omaha was picked to finish seventh in the Summit League.
Last season, Hansen competed in 11 tournaments for the Mavericks averaging a 77.2 per round. During last year's spring season, Hansen helped the Mavericks secure their first tournament victory of the Division-I era at the WIU Invitational. Hansen finished with a total score of 221 and sank a tournament-high seven birdies. Her score ties the second-best 54-hole tournament total in program history.
Including her first place victory at the WIU, Hansen captured four other top 20 finishes including a t-10 finish at the Omaha hosted Stampede at the Creek.
Hansen and the Mavericks are set to get their springs season underway later next month at the Islander Classic at Corpus Christi Country Club.
