Drake Garners Seventh TicketSmarter Diver of the Week Honors

Omaha, Neb.-- Omaha's Darby Drake earned the Summit League's TicketSmarter Female Diver of the Week of the Week honors, as announced by the conference on Tuesday afternoon.
"Darby's having a great season and I'm impressed with her determination and approach in our process, but what her scores don't show is how great of a teammate she is and how much wants success for the whole team," said diving coach Eric Sprague. "This is Darby's 7th time being recognized as the TicketSmarter Peak Diver of the Week this season and the 12th of her career, which is quite impressive. She's diving with great focus and purpose at a key time of the season and I'm looking forward to these last couple of competitions. Congrats on being recognized again by the Sumit League, Darby."
Drake tabbed her seventh weekly honors after she swept the female diving portion of the meet versus South Dakota this past weekend. On the one-meter, Drake had a stellar performance, pulling a final score of 261.55. On the three-meter, she finished first with a final score of 268.55, claiming first.
With 12 career weekly honors, Drake now sits in the No. 2 spot for career weekly honors collected among all Summit League Divers.
Drake and the diving Mavericks will host the Omaha Diving Invite this weekend, Feb. 2 in the H&K Pool. As for the rest of the swimmers, they will head to Vermillion to participate in the Coyote Invite on Feb. 2 and 3.
