Mavericks Put 2024 Indoor Regular Season in the Books at Nebraska Tune Up

The Omaha Mavericks Track and Field team put the indoor regular season in the books this weekend after competing in the Nebraska Tune Up.

The PR's started to quickly accumulate for the Mavericks at the Tune-Up often and early. In total, Omaha achieved 16 PR's including two top ten program best performances from Lauren Metzger and Kamryn Ensley in the mile.

Metzger ran to a time of 4:55.14 which puts her second all-time in program history for the indoor mile. The time was good for a second-place finish in the race finals. Coming in just behind her in sixth place was Kamryn Ensley. Ensley finished with a 5:01.00 PR which was the seventh fastest time in program history.

The Mavericks set their sights on the Summit League Indoor Championship next weekend in Fargo, N.D. The two-day meet will begin Friday, Feb. 23 and conclude the next day on Feb. 24.
