Mavericks Place 7th at Lady Bison Invite

The Omaha Mavericks women's golf squad completed their second tournament of the spring season this afternoon at the Lady Bison Invitational.

Omaha placed seventh in the 12-team tournament. The Mavericks finished 316, 310, 312 for a tournament total of 938.

Nicole Hansen placed T13 at this week's invitational which was the top finish for the second tournament in a row for Omaha. Hansen finished +16, shooting 76, 75, 78 for a three-round total of 229.

Lavinia Romito and Sydney Taake each finished T29 for the invitational. Romito shot 80, 77, 80 while Taake went 81, 73, 83 for a 237.

Shooting a +3 for her final round, Mike Miyata finished T37 today. Miyata shot 78, 88 and season best 74 today to close out the invitational.

Macarena Garcia and Emily Karmazin both finished T41. Each shooting a tournament total of 242, Garcia's three rounds went 82, 80, 80 and Karmazin shot 82, 78, 82.

Emma Kirvan placed T51 for the tournament with a 248. For her three rounds, she shot 84, 86 and finished today +7 with a 78. Kirvan's 78 is a season best.

The Mavericks will break next week and return to competition on March 17. The Mavericks will be playing in the three-day Bama Beach Bash in Gulf Shores, Alabama.
