Men's Golf Wraps Up 2023-24 Season at Summit League Championship

SELLERSBURG, Ind. - The Omaha Men's Golf Team concluded the 2023-24 season today with a 9th place finish in the Summit League Championships. The Mavericks shot 880 (+16) in the three-day, 54-hole tournament.
Kansas City took home first place and a trip to the NCAA Tournament after scoring 833 (-31), while the Roos' Mesa Falleur won the individual title with a score of 205 (-11).
For the Mavericks, Connor Wilson led the way with a final score of 212 (-4), tying him for 12th. This is Wilson's second lowest score of the season behind only his 211 mark at the SIUE Dolenc Invitational and is the first time he finished at least four under par. After shooting one over in the first round, Wilson improved and shot three under on day two, before finishing strong at two under today.
As for the rest of the lineup, Christopher Atkinson (220, +4) finished tied for 34th, while Nolan Johnson and Josh Peters both finished tied for 39th with a score of 225 (+9). Atkinson was the only other Maverick besides Wilson to finish under par in any round, shooting 71 (-1) in round one.
Also competing were Porter Topp and Austin Goodrum, the latter subbing in for the former on day three, who posted a combined score of 227 (+11).
