Katie Ruge Named Peak Golfer of the Week

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - After her historic victory in the MSU Payne Stewart Memorial, Katie Ruge has been named the first Summit League Peak Female Golfer of the Week of the 2024-25 season.
Ruge, in her first appearance as a Maverick, claimed the individual title in the season-opener after leading the field of 67 with a final score of 206 (seven under par) after three rounds. She shot 69, 67 and 70 across all three rounds and recorded 14 birdies in 54 holes.
Her efforts led the Mavericks to their first team title since Victoria Grasso took over as head coach. Omaha paced all 12 teams with a total score of 872, nine fewer strokes than second place Oral Roberts and North Dakota State.
