Walker Leads Mavs on First Day of Wildcat Classic

MANHATTAN, Kan. – For the second consecutive week, Tyler Walker is leading the Omaha men's golf team as the senior from Lenexa, Kansas, fired a 3-over 147 through the first and second rounds of the 2026 Wildcat Classic at Colbert Hills Golf Course in Manhattan, Kansas. Omaha sits tied for fifth at 24-over.
Walker had just one bogey in his first 18 holes, including a bogey-free back nine, to finish the first round in the top 10. Walker shot a 3-over 75 in the second round to secure his spot in the top 10 heading into the final round on Tuesday.
Ben Appelhof fired a 1-over 73 in the first round and finished the day at 6-over, tied for 23rd.
Sam Vocelka finished the day at 7-over, while Forrest Benson finished at 8-over to round out the top four scores for the Mavs.
Omaha will be back in action for the third round at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.
