Stephanie Kirby scored with under 15 minutes to play what turned out to be the game-deciding goal from assists by Megan Herzberg and Ashley Grace Saturday afternoon at a sloppy Soccer Field at Ak-Sar-Ben. UNO held on 4-3 with the help of seven saves by Amy Price, six of which came in the first half. UNO moved to 11-1-1 (2-1-0) on the season and MSU moved to 8-5-0 (2-1-0) after the loss.
Haley Fries added a goal along with Ashley Grace and Brytten Kraft who each had an assist with their goal. Other assists were given to Jessica Dotson and Stephanie Kirby. Kirby set a school record with the 27th assist of her career.
The three goals scored by MSU were the most allowed since North Dakota State in 2001.
