Mavs On The Road For CCHA Opener

The UNO hockey team opens CCHA play this weekend against Western Michigan in Kalamazoo. The Mavericks, who lead the all-time series with the Broncos with a 5-3-2 mark, are on a 10-game winless slide (0-9-1) that ties a club record for most games without a victory set in the 1997-98 season.
The two teams split a pair at Lawson Ice Arena last season with the home team winning 8-2 on Friday and the visitors posting a 2-0 shutout on Saturday.
UNO senior forward Andrew Wong has 3-3-6 in eight career meetings with WMU, while senior forward Jeff Campbell of the Broncos has posted 5-6-11 in eight outings versus the Mavs.
