No. 9 NDSU Sweeps Mavericks

Fargo, N.D. -- The University of Nebraska at Omaha was swept, 3-0 (30-20, 30-23, 30-24) in North Central Conference volleyball action at ninth-ranked North Dakota State, Friday night, Oct. 3, before 686 fans at the Bentson Bunker Fieldhouse. The league-leading Bison improved to 14-5 overall and 4-0 in the NCC while UNO dropped to 9-10 overall and 0-3 in the NCC.
Junior outside hitter Jenny Rankin (North Platte, NE) and junior middle blocker Alyssa Matthes (Milford, NE) each pounded 11 kills to lead the Maverick offense. Rankin also collected a match-high 14 digs and three block assists in the loss.
UNO was plagued by 27 hitting errors in the match, hitting just .104, compared to the Bison's .290 hitting percentage.
The Mavericks will travel to Grand Forks, N.D., on Saturday, Oct. 4, for a 7 p.m. NCC match with the University of North Dakota.
