Mavs Lose Exhibition to Division I Bradley, 75-67

Peoria, Ill. -- Former Maverick head coach Paula Buscher's Bradley Braves handed Nebraska-Omaha a 75-67 loss in exhibition action Saturday afternoon, Nov. 1 at Robertson Field House in Peoria, Ill. Three Mavericks scored in double-figures in the loss, led by junior Chelsie Groslie's 13 points. Sophomore JJ Smith added 11 points and five rebounds. Junior Lindsey Petersen contributed with 10 points, three rebounds, and two assists.
Eleven Mavericks got playing time in the exhibition which saw UNO climb back from a 13-points second-half deficit to close the gap to, 67-64, with five minutes remaining in the game, before Bradley pulled away in the closing minutes.
The Mavericks will travel to Lincoln to battle the Nebraska Huskers in another exhibition game next Sunday, Nov. 9 beginning at 2:05 p.m. at the Bob Devaney Sports Center.
