Wolverines Top Mavericks, 2-1

Michigan extended its winning streak to six games over the Mavericks with a 2-1 victory at Qwest Center Omaha on Friday night.
Mike Brown and T.J. Hensick each scored in the first period to give the Wolverines a 2-0 lead.
UNO cut the lead in half when Justin Chwedoruk scored his first goal of his collegiate career at 9:43 of the second period.
The Mavericks pulled goaltender Chris Holt with 1:15 remaining in the third period but could not get a shot past UM's Al Montoya.
Holt finished the game with 28 saves, while Montoya stopped 22 Maverick shots.
UNO (4-11-2, 3-9-1 CCHA) will meet Michigan again on Saturday at 7:05 p.m.
