Mavs, Wolverines Skate to 3-3 Tie

The largest crowd ever to attend a UNO home hockey game was on hand to see Nebraska-Omaha and Michigan skate to a 3-3 tie at Qwest Center Omaha Saturday night.
UNO snapped a six-game losing streak to Michigan in front of 10,034 fans. Captain Mike Lefley tallied two goals for UNO, while Andrew Wong recorded the other Maverick goal.
Nebraska-Omaha took a 3-1 lead on Lefley's second goal of the night at 8:19 of the second period. Michigan's Eric Nystrom scored with 3:58 remaining in the period for a one-goal lead heading into the final 20 minutes.
UM's Milan Gajic scored at 8:14 of the third period for the game's final goal.
UNO (4-11-3, 3-9-2 CCHA) is idle until the Denver Cup on Dec. 27-28. The Mavs will face Yale on Dec. 27 and play either Niagara or Denver on the 28th.
