MBB Signs 2 Junior College Transfers

Men's basketball coach Kevin McKenna today announced that two junior college players have signed national letters of intent to attend the University of Nebraska at Omaha and play basketball next season.
Arthur Boults, from Iowa Western Community College, and Levy Jones, (pronounced "Lee-vie") who last played at Minneapolis Community/Technical College, are the newest Mavericks. They join Tyron Canby, an all-state guard from Lincoln (Neb.) High School, who signed a national letter last November.
Boults, a 6-2, 200-pound guard, earned all-class, all-state honors while playing at Omaha Benson High School. At Iowa Western, he helped lead the team to 22-9 and 25-6 records the past two seasons. He averaged 16 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists per game last season and was a junior college honorable mention All-American.
Jones, a 6-11, 265-pound center, is a Minneapolis North High School graduate. He averaged 12 points, 10 rebounds and 6 blocks per game as a senior. In 2001-02 at Minneapolis Community/Technical College, he averaged 14 points, 8.9 rebounds and 5 blocks per game.
Both will be juniors at UNO and have two years of eligibility.
