Three Mavs Placed On All-NCC Baseball First Team

Nebraska-Omaha's Kyle Funk and North Dakota State's Mike Peschel highlight the all-North Central Conference baseball first team announced on May 14 by the conference office. The duo are three-time repeat selections to the elite squad. Funk is joined on the first team by UNO seniors Spencer Doyle and Eric Gordon.
The Mavericks' Patrick Johnstonand Nate McCabe were named to the all-NCC second-team.
Shane Roberts of Northern Colorado was named the league's Most Valuable Player as well as being elected a first-team outfielder. John Brunswold of South Dakota was tabbed as the Most Valuable Pitcher while Jeff Holm of Augustana tallied Coach of the Year honors. It is the first time that Holm, in only his second year at Augustana, has been awarded the honor. He led the Vikings to their first NCC baseball title.
Honors were voted on by the NCC coaches.
