No. 11 MSU Sweeps UNO in NCC Opener

Omaha, Neb. -- The University of Nebraska at Omaha volleyball team hit a season-low .050 as No. 11-ranked Minnesota State, Mankato swept the Mavericks 3-0 (30-21, 30-22, 30-25) in the North Central Conference opener for both teams, Friday night, Sep. 26, at the Sapp Fieldhouse before 634 fans.
Junior outside hitter Jenny Rankin (North Platte, NE) was one of only two Mavericks to hit above .000, while leading UNO with 12 kills, nine digs, and two blocks.
Sarah DeMars and All-American Jen Jacobs comibined for 25 kills to lead the Minnesota State offense.
The Mavericks, who drop to 9-8 overall and 0-1 in the NCC, will host St. Cloud State on Saturday, Sep. 27 beginning at 6 p.m. at the Sapp Fieldhouse.
