Mavs Compete in Nebraska Adult Open

The Mavs opened their fall schedule Aug. 29 through Sept. 1 in the Nebraska Adult Open. Head Coach Bill Nichols and his Mavs went 9-16 in singles play and 3-5 in doubles play. Juniors Lindsay Henjum and Sarah Huls led UNO with two singles wins and senior Sara Batchelor teamed with sophomore Abby Wilson for two doubles wins.
The Mavs next compete in the Concordia Classic in Lincoln, Neb., on Sept. 13-14 and wrap up the fall schedule Sept. 26-28 in the Omaha Collegiate Classic at Tranquility Park. UNO finished 10-6 last spring and third in the North Central Conference Tournament, paving the way to its first trip to the NCAA tournament. Washburn defeated the Mavs 5-1 in the opening round.
