Mavs Travel to No. 18 UNK; Host 18-Team North Cent

The University of Nebraska at Omaha volleyball team (6-4) will face its busiest week of the 2003 season, travelling to 18th-ranked Nebraska-Kearney, while hosting the 18-team North Central Region Challenge where it will face four Northern Sun Conference opponents.
The Mavericks will visit UNK's Health and Sports Center on Tuesday night, Sept. 9 for a 7 p.m. clash with intrastate rival Nebraska-Kearney, who is currently 6-2 on the season after winning four straight matches last weekend in the Loper Volleyball Classic.
Seventeen teams, including every team from the North Central Conference and Northern Sun Conference, will visit UNO's Sapp Fieldhouse on Friday-Saturday, Sept. 12-13 when the Mavericks host the 2003 North Central Region Challenge. On Friday, UNO squares off against Bemidji State (6-3) at 2 p.m. and Concordia St-Paul (7-1) at 6 p.m. The Mavericks face Minnesota State, Moorhead (6-2) at 12 p.m. on Saturday and conclude the tournament with a 6 p.m. contest against Northern State (3-5).
