Bulldogs Down Mavs, 5-2

Omaha, Nebraska--Ferris State's Derrick McIver recorded two goals to lead the Bulldogs to a 5-2 win over Nebraska-Omaha Wednesday at Qwest Center Omaha.
Both teams traded goals in the first period with FSU's Matt Rutkowski and UNO's Andrew Wong both recording tallies.
The Bulldogs then scored the next three goals as Matt Verdone, Derek Nesbitt and McIver made the score 4-1.
UNO's Mike Lefley tallied his eigth goal of the season at 15:11 third period on a tip in the front of the net to make the score 4-2.
McIver then struck for his second goal of the night two minutes later to end scoring.
UNO (5-13-3, 3-10-2) closes out the series with Ferris State Thursday night.
