
Mavericks Rebound With 6-1 Win Over Ferris State

Omaha, Nebraska--UNO senior forward Andrew Wong recorded two goals and notched two assists as the Mavericks pounded Ferris State 6-1 at Qwest Center Omaha Thursday night.
Special teams appeared to be the difference as Nebraska-Omaha converted on four of six power plays and killed off all nine Bulldog power plays.
UNO's first four goals came on the power play. Wong tallied the first two, Alex Nikiforuk and Kaleb Betts tallied the next two. Dan Hacker then tallied UNO's first shorthanded goal of the season at 5:59 of the third period for a 5-1 lead. David Morelli closed out scoring at 14:49 of the final period.
The Mavericks (6-13-3, 4-10-2 CCHA) host Western Michigan next Friday and Saturday.
