Freshman Earns CCHA Weekly Honor

UNO freshman forward Bill Thomas was named the CCHA Rookie of the Week today after his efforts during the Mutual of Omaha Stampede Tournament this past weekend.
Thomas collected 2-2-4 on the weekend and was named the tournament's most valuable player.
He tallied two assists in the victory over Connecticut on Saturday and then tallied a power play goal and the game-winning shorthanded goal against Merrimack on Sunday.
UNO (2-0-0) is off this weekend but will resume action with a home series against Western Michigan on October 22-23.
