Mavs Point Toward Rockhurst Tilt

The Mavericks will get back on the court Saturday afternoon when they meet Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Mo., at 4. UNO will be trying to rebound from Monday's two-point loss and pick up Coach Patty Patton Shearer's first Maverick victory. The game will be broadcast on KOIL, 1020 AM.
UNO, 0-1, dropped a 52-50 decision at Nebraska-Kearney Monday night in the season opener. JJ Smith scored 15 points and hauled in 10 rebounds to lead the Mavericks in the game.
The Hawks, 1-1 this season, were 2-24 last season. This is just the second meeting ever between the two schools. Rockhurst claimed an 80-73 win in the 1998-99 season-opener.
