8 Mavs All-NCC; Beale Freshman of the Year

Nebraska-Omaha placed eight players on the All-North Central Conference first and second team, with four members on the 11-member first team.

Seniors Anne Willrett, Brytten Kraft, junior Meghan Pile and sophomore Beth McGill were named to the first team. Juniors Amy Price, Becca Fritz, sophomore Amber Richardson, and freshman Brandie Beale round out the second team members.

Beale, who was named the freshman player of the year, led the league in points(18)and goals(7) helping the Mavs earn the No. 1 seed in this weekend's NCC tournament. Minnesota State, the fourth-seeded team will face UNO at 11:30 a.m. Friday at the soccer Field at Ak-Sar-Ben, as UNO looks to regain the NCC crown.

Last week, UNO landed four student-athletes on the Academic All-NCC Soccer Team. Senior Rachel Tushner and juniors Amy Price and Meghan Pile were repeat selections, while Brytten Kraft was selected for the first time on the select squad.
