Mavericks to Face Division I Colorado State

The Mavericks face a formidable task Wednesday when they head to Colorado State to take on the NCAA Division I Rams in Fort Collins. Tip-off is at 9 p.m. Omaha time for the 3-0 Mavs, who are in the middle of a stretch that finds them playing four games in seven days. The game will be carried on KOZN, 1620 AM.
UNO kicked off the week with a home win over Missouri Valley College Sunday to run its record to 3-0. Junior guard Calvin Kapels led the Mavs with a career-high 25 points and was named the Nebraska NCAA Division II player of the week for his performance.
This will be the first meeting ever for the Mavs and Colorado State. The Rams improved to 2-0 with a Monday night win over Northern Colorado after opening the season with a win over Regis.
This weekend, UNO will return to host its own Thanksgiving Classic at Lee & Helene Sapp Fieldhouse. The Mavs will play Truman State on Friday and Colorado Mines on Saturday. Both games start at 8 p.m.
