The University of Nebraska at Omaha hockey team had their winless streak extended to 11 games with a 1-0 loss to Alaska Fairbanks Friday night at Qwest Center Omaha.
Ryan Campbell's unassisted goal at 6:13 of the period proved to be the difference as the Nanooks continued its mastery of the Mavericks. UAF has a 14-game unbeaten streak against UNO (10-0-4) and have not lost to Nebraska-Omaha since December of 2000.
The loss also lengthened the Mavericks' scoreless streak to 206:15, a span of almost four games.
Maverick freshman goaltender Chris Holt stopped 16 of 17 shots in the loss
UNO (6-22-5, 4-19-4 CCHA) will conclude its series with Alaska Fairbanks on Saturday at 7:05 p.m. from Qwest Center Omaha.
