Mavs Split at Northwest Missouri State

The Nebraska-Omaha baseball team split a doubleheader at No. 17 Northwest Missouri State on Sunday. The Mavs pounded out 15 hits in an 11-7 win in the first game. Jake Wurth led the offensive attack, going 4-for-5 with three runs and two runs batted in. Josh Shirk and Lee Kramolisch also added three hits a piece. Jon Christiansen picked up his first victory of the season, striking out six in five innings.
In the second game, NWMSU's David Dugan threw a complete game for the Bearcats, keeping the Mavericks off the board for five innings in a 8-3 win. Jake Wurth and Lee Kramolisch each collected two hits a piece for UNO.
The Mavs (7-9) will play a four-game series with Wayne State next weekend.
