UNO Softball Downs UNC, Georgian Court

ORLANDO, Fla. - The 18th-ranked University of Nebraska at Omaha softball team improved to 14-3 on the season with victories Monday over Northern Colorado, 8-2, and Georgian Court, 6-0. The Mavericks, who are competing in the Rebel Spring Games in Orlando, Fla., have now won 11-straight games.
In the Mavericks' first game of the day, freshman Kelsey Warning and junior Nicole Vos blasted back-to-back home runs as the Mavericks exploded for seven runs in the bottom of the second inning while registering an 8-2 win over former NCC rival Northern Colorado.
Warning went 2-for-3 in the game with three RBIs, while Vos was 2-for-4 with one RBI. Nebraska-Omaha collected 11 hits in the victory.
Sophomore pitcher Jenny Pritchard scattered five hits while improving to 7-0 on the season.

Freshman pitcher Taren Tuley picked up her second no-hitter of her career as the Mavericks shut out Georgian Court, 6-0, in the second game of the day. Tuley, who struck out eight batters and walked two, improved to 4-2 on the season.
Once again, Vos and Warning led the Mavericks at the plate. Vos went 2-for-3 with two doubles, one RBI, and one run scored while Warning belted her second home run of the day. Sophomore Lauren McArthur went 2-for-4 with a triple, one RBI and two runs scored as the Mavericks registered 10 total hits in the win.
