Mavs Win Two More in Florida

ORLANDO, Fla.- Freshman Cheris Kuster struck out 11 batters as the Mavericks defeated Pace 1-0 Thursday in the Rebel Spring Games. In No. 18 UNO's second game the Mavs defeated UMASS-Lowell 10-0 to improve to 17-3 and win their 14th straight game.
In the opener the Mavs got their run in the second inning when Erin Bluml grounded in Nicole Vos with a fielder's choice. Kuster then held off the Setters by allowing just a double in the third and single in the sixth and improved to 5-2.
Lowell was held to just two hits in the second game by sophomore pitcher Jenny Pritchard who improved to 8-0. Lauren McArthur and Kelsey Warning each hit doubles as the Maverick offense forced the ten-run rule after the fifth inning.
