Mavs Go Undefeated at Spring Games

ORLANDO, Fla.- Freshman Cheris Kuster picked up her first collegiate no-hitter in a five inning 9-0 Maverick win over St. Thomas-Aquinas Friday at UNO's final day at the Rebel Spring Games. In the earlier game UNO defeated Wayne State (MI), 2-1, for the second time in the tournament. UNO (19-3) went 11-0 in the tournament and has won 16 straight games.
Cheris Kuster struck out 13 St. Thomas-Aquinas batters to improve her record to 6-2 and pick up UNO's fourth no-hitter of the year. Against Wayne State Taren Tuley collected the win and improved her record to 6-1.
The Mavs will continue their road swing with a doubleheader Tuesday at Missouri Western State starting at 3 p.m. and another twin bill Thursday at 2 p.m. at Nebraska-Kearney.
