Mavs Set to Host UNO Tournament

The UNO softball team will play a doubleheader Thursday afternoon at Nebraska-Kearney and then will head home to host the Nebraska-Omaha Maverick Tournament Saturday and Sunday at Claussen-Westgate field. Games for the five-team event will begin at 9:00 a.m. both days. The Mavericks, ranked 5th in the country this week, are 20-4 coming into Thursday's doubleheader. UNO carried a 17-game winning streak into the second game of Tuesday night's doubleheader at Missouri Western. The Griffons topped the Mavs 4-3 in the ninth inning to break the streak.
