Mavs Take Two From Wildcats

WAYNE, Neb. - The Mavericks swept Wayne State Tuesday night with a 10-3 win in the opener and a 3-0 victory in the night cap of a non-conference doubleheader. The wins improved fourth-ranked Nebraska-Omaha to 38-4 and extended its winning streak to 18 games.
In the first game UNO had 18 hits and Kelsey Warning and Shilo Jorgensen each went 3-for-5 with two RBIs to lead the Mavs' offensive outpour. Last week's North Central Conference player of the week Nicole Vos had a double. Jenny Pritchard pitched the victory for the Mavericks and went to 16-1 with the win.
Pritchard had pitched 25 straight innings for UNO before Taren Tuley made her first appearance in 14 games in the second game Tuesday night. Tuley held WSC to four hits with seven strikeouts and just one walk. She improved to 8-1 while the Wildcats evened their record at 16-16.
The Mavs will take an 8-0 NCC record on the road to South Dakota State for a doubleheader Wednesday afternoon beginning at 3:30.
