Mavs Sweep St. Cloud State

St. Cloud, Minn.--Sam Nocita delivered an RBI single in the eighth inning to lead the Nebraska-Omaha baseball team to a 3-2 win and sweep over St. Cloud State on Sunday.
Nocita finished the game going 2-for-4 with two RBI and belted a solo homer in the fourth inning. Jim Sledge hit his team-leading 13th home run of the season in the sixth inning to give the Mavs a 2-1 lead.
In the first game, Jon Christiansen threw a complete game two-hitter as the Mavericks downed the Huskies, 7-1. Josh Shirk and Jake Wurth each picked up a pair of hits. Sledge and Jeff Sova each had two RBI a piece.
Nebraska-Omaha (18-21, 9-9 NCC) will host North Dakota in a four-game series next weekend.
