Mavs Drop Two In Fargo

Fargo, North Dakota--The Nebraska-Omaha baseball committed seven errors while being swept 9-7 and 10-5 in a twin bill against North Dakota State on Saturday.
The Bison had to rally twice in the opener to earn the 9-7 win. UNO led 4-0 in the fourth before the Bison tied the game with four unearned runs in the bottom of the inning.
The Mavs led 7-5 entering the bottom of the sixth inning but NDSU recorded four more unearned runs to take the lead for good.
In the second game, NDSU led 5-3 before a grand slam to cap off a five run sixth inning.
Maverick sophomore outfielder David Bodnar was 4-for-6 on the day to lead UNO offensively. Seniors Jake Wurth and Jim Sledge each had a home run on the day.
UNO (10-16, 2-4 NCC) will meet North Dakota State again on Sunday in a noon doubleheader.
