Mavs Will Host North Central Regional

The University of Nebraska-Omaha softball team was selected as the top seed in the North Central Region by the NCAA and will host the six-team regional tournament Thursday through Sunday at Claussen-Westgate Field. UNO receives a first-round bye and will play the winner of the North Dakota State-Emporia State game on Thursday. St. Cloud State, the second seed, also gets a bye in the double-elimination tournament.
The winner of the regional advances to the NCAA national tournament May 11-16 in Altamonte, Fla.
