Three Mavs Named to All-Region Team

Shilo Jorgensen and Kelsey Warning were named to the first team and Cheris Kuster was named to the second team of the Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division II North Central Region team Thursday.
Jorgensen, a sophomore, is third at UNO with a .317 batting average. She has ten doubles, two home runs and is carrying a .961 fielding percentage at third base.
Warning, a freshman, is batting .347 as the designated hitter, leading the team at the plate. She also leads the team with 46 RBIs and is second with eight home runs.
Kuster, also a freshman, shattered UNO's single-season strikeout record earlier this year. Now, with 246, she is making her climb towards the top of the career list. She is currently in seventh, just two off her pitching coach, Denise Peterson. In just one year, Kuster is nearly halfway to the record total of 530, set by Krista Unger from 2000-2003.
