Mavs Add Transfer from Providence

Guard Abdul Mills, who played three seasons at Providence College before being sidelined with a back injury, has transferred to UNO and will be eligible to play for the Mavericks this season, coach Kevin McKenna has announced.
Mills, a 6-4, 195-pound native of Brooklyn, N.Y., averaged 7.7 points per game and 2.2 assists as a freshman. He increased those figures to 10.9 ppg and three assists per game as a sophomore and as a junior averaged just under 14 points per game for the Friars. He sat out the 2002-03 season and played just two games in 2003-04.
Mills will be a senior for the Mavericks.
UNO won the North Central Conference regular season and post-season tournament titles last season and advanced to their second NCAA II regional appearance in three years under McKenna, finishing with a 22-8 record.
