Mavs Remain in Top 10 Before UND Rematch

Coach Kevin McKenna's Mavericks slipped five spots to No. 10 in the latest NCAA Division II men's basketball ratings heading into their rematch with the team that ended their 12-game winning streak Saturday night. UNO and North Dakota will tangle Friday night in Grand Forks in a key North Central Conference game.
The Mavs, now 15-2 overall, are 1-1 in the NCC, while North Dakota is 15-3 and 1-0.
Metro State, the only undefeated team in Division II at 12-0, moved into the top spot in the poll conducted by the National Association of Basketball Coaches. Minnesota State of the NCC is No. 3. The Top 10:

2. Virginia Union, 9-1
3. Minnesota State, 15-1
4. West Georgia, 13-1
5. Bentley, 14-2
6. SIU-Edwardsville, 14-2
7. Findlay, 12-2
8. Kennesaw State, 11-1

10. Nebraska-Omaha, 15-2
