North Dakota Rematch Next for Mavs

The Mavericks will be trying to maintain a three-game winning streak and protect their first-place standing as they head into Friday's rematch with No. 14 North Dakota. UNO opened North Central Conference play with wins over two ranked teams last week, including the Fighting Sioux.
Friday's 6 p.m. game will be UNO's only contest of the week. The 12-5 Mavs, 2-0 in the NCC, opened league play last week with wins over No. 20 Augustana, 58-57, scoring the final 10 points of the game, and then-No. 8 North Dakota, 77-72 in overtime.
UNO guard Karen Thies led the second win, scoring the final 18 points in the game. Thies was named player of the week among Nebraska NCAA II schools and in the NCC.
