Mutual of Omaha Stampede to Begin Friday

Nebraska-Omaha will host the sixth annual Mutual of Omaha Stampede this weekend to kickoff the 2005-2006 regular season.
In Friday action, No. 8 New Hampshire will take on Ferris State in the 5:00 p.m. game. The nightcap will feature UNO against Army in an 8:00 p.m. matchup.
On Saturday, the consolation game will be played at 5:00 p.m. with the championship game following at 8:00 p.m.
The Mavericks won its first Mutual of Omaha Stampede title last season with a 4-3 victory over Merrimack.
