UNO Sweeps North Dakota To Improve To 14-5

OMAHA, Neb. -- Junior outside hitter Christina Reicks notched 13 kills and 10 digs to lead the University of Nebraska at Omaha to a 3-0 (30-21, 30-19, 30-22) North Central Conference victory over North Dakota before 511 fans at the Sapp Fieldhouse Saturday afternoon. With the win the Mavericks improve to 14-5 overall and 5-1 in the NCC.
Reicks, who recorded her sixth double-double of the season, also added three blocks and one service ace.
Led by sophomore Nicole McLeod's four service aces, the Mavericks held a commanding 10-1 advantage in service aces.
UNO also held a 21-13 edge in total blocks as three Mavericks (Briana Ritter, Carlie Christensen, Heather Hainline) each recorded five blocks in the match.
The Mavericks were led defensively by senior libero Chelsea Miller's 14 digs, as UNO held a 50-40 advantage in digs.
UNO will conclude its three-match homestand on Friday Oct. 21, when the Mavericks entertain third-ranked Minnesota Duluth, beginning at 7 p.m. at the Sapp Fieldhouse.
