Mavericks Sign Lincoln Northeast All-Stater

University of Nebraska at Omaha head coach Derrin Hansen announced today that Andrew Bridger, an all-state point guard from Lincoln Northeast High School, has signed a national letter of intent to attend UNO and play for the Mavericks in 2006-07.
Bridger, a 6-foot, 175-pound senior at Northeast, averaged 16.5 points, 3.2 reboundes and 3.3 assists last year while earning first-team all-Class A and first-team Super State honors. He was also named to the all-tournament team at the Nebraska State Tournament.
An honor roll student, Bridger will be in his fourth season of basketball under coach Steve Bartek. He also is a pitcher-first baseman for the Northeast baseball team under coach Bill Fagler. Andrew is the son of Rick and Robin Bridger.
