2 Freshmen Mavs Garner CCHA Weekly Honors

Nebraska-Omaha freshman forward Dan Charleston was named the Central Collegiate Hockey Association Rookie of the Week and freshman Jerad Kaufmann earned CCHA Goaltender of the Week accolades, the league announced Monday.
In the Mavericks' two games at the RPI Holiday Tournament, Charleston had three points, on two goals and an assist. Kaufmann stopped 52-of-55 shots, including 37 against Providence on Friday evening.
Charleston was named to the all-tournament team, while Kaufmann was named the tournament's most valuable player.
