
Late Heroics Lift Mavs Past Yale

OMAHA, Neb.--UNO's Bryan Marshall scored 19 seconds into overtime to give Nebraska-Omaha a 3-2 win over Yale on Saturday night at the Qwest Center.
UNO (11-8-0) has now won four-straight games at home and travel to Minnesota State, Mankato for a game on Tuesday night.
The Mavs grabbed a 1-0 lead in the second period on Mick Lawrence's sixth goal of the year at 11:23. Yale tied the game at 1-1 on a power play goal by Jeff Hristovski at 16:11.
YU would take a 2-1 lead at 11:10 of the final period on an even strength tally by Brad Mills. The Bulldog lead held until Bryan Marshall's shot from the crease knocked off a Yale defensemen in front of the net with just 32 ticks left as UNO skated with an extra attacker.
The Mavericks outshot Yale 35-26 in the contest. UNO was 0-for-5 on the power play while Yale was 1-for-2.
