The Mavericks host new North Central Conference member Minnesota Duluth in their final regular season home game Saturday night at 6 in Lee & Helene Sapp Fieldhouse.

The game will be broadcast on KOZN, 1620 AM, with David Gustafson calling the play-by-play.
For the Record
The Mavericks are 14-10 on the season and are 4-5 in the North Central Conference. Minnesota Duluth is 17-6 and 6-3.
Coaching Staff
Head Coach Patty Patton Shearer is in her first season as the head coach at UNO and has a 14-10 mark. Overall in five seasons in college she is 74-59. Patton Shearer took over last spring after compiling a 60-49 record over four seasons at Fort Lewis College. She is a 1990 graduate of Rocky Mountain College. Her assistants, all in their first seasons at UNO as well, are Jason Flores, Brad Schick and Maurtice Ivy.
Last Week
The Mavericks fell twice at home last weekend, dropping a 78-72 decision to St. Cloud State and a 78-67 verdict to Minnesota State. JJ Smith led the Mavericks both nights with 21 and 25 points. St. Cloud State pulled away in the final five minutes, using a 10-1 run over a four-minute stretch to take a 71-64 lead with 1:21 to play. Minnesota State scored the first 11 points in the game before the Mavericks eventually caught up, tying the game at 58 and 60 in the second half. MSU then held UNO without a field goal over the final 6:21and salted the game away by making eight of nine free throws in the closing 71 seconds.

The Mavericks, after losing two straight at home last weekend, are now 11-3 at Sapp Fieldhouse on the season.
Looking Ahead
The Mavs will face Minnesota Duluth again on Thursday, Feb. 26 at 6 p.m. and then will end regular season play at Minnesota State in Mankato on Saturday, Feb. 24 at 2 p.m. The North Central Conference's Wells Fargo Finals will begin on Tuesday, Mar. 1. The regular season champion will draw a bye and will host semifinal and championship games on Mar. 4-5. The Nos. 2-3-4 finishers will host Nos. 7-6-5 in first-round games.
