Key CCHA Series Next for Mavs

The UNO hockey team will host Alaska Fairbanks this weekend in its final CCHA regular season contests of the year. Nebraska-Omaha can clinch one of the six home ice spots for the CCHA Playoffs with two points against the Nanooks.
Nebraska-Omaha (16-12-4, 12-10-4 CCHA) is coming off a three-point road weekend against Lake Superior State. UNO knocked off the Lakers 5-2 Friday and skated to a 3-3 tie on Saturday against LSSU, in which UNO trailed 3-1 heading into the final period.
Friday's game will be televised by CSTV and can be seen on Nebraska Educational Television (NETV). Kevin Kugler will be calling the play-by-play with former Maverick goaltender Kendall Sidoruk providing the color commentary.
Faceoff is scheduled for 7:05 p.m., both nights.
