WARRENSBURG, MO.-- UNO gathered four runs on five hits in the top of the first inning on Friday, but was limited to four hits the rest of the way in a 7-4 loss to Central Missouri at the CMSU Early Bird Tournament.
The University of Nebraska at Omaha (2-2) had two singles, a double and two triples in the first. Min Sung drove in two with a bases-loaded single, then Lyle Lafountain and Kevin Whitman followed with back-to-back triples.
Dustin Bolton took over for Mules' starter Ryan Wagner in the second inning and earned the win with six innings of three-hit, shutout pitching.
Because of expected rain on Sunday, all remaining games of the tournament will be played Saturday. UNO will face Winona State at 10:00 a.m. and then Southern Illinois-Edwardsville at 1:00 p.m.
