Mavs Skate to 1-1 Tie

SOUTH BEND, IND.--UNO goaltender Chris Holt had 30 saves to lead Nebraska-Omaha to a 1-1 tie with Notre Dame on Friday night at the Joyce Center.
Scott Parse scored his team-leading 15th goal of the season and first shorthanded goal of his career to give the Mavericks a 1-0 lead at 13:39 of the first period. UNO goaltender Chris Holt cleared the puck down the right boards into the neutral zone and Bill Thomas got control of the puck and raced it down the right wing with a clean feed to Parse.
That was the only goal of the game until the Irish knotted the score at 1-1 at 7:20 of the final period on a 4-on-4 tally by Luke Lucyk.
Both teams were scoreless on the power play with UNO going 0-for-5, while Notre Dame went 0-for-4. UND outshot the Mavericks 31 to 27 in the contest.
UNO (14-10-3, 10-8-3 CCHA) will face Notre Dame (5-18-6, 3-13-5 CCHA) on Saturday in the series finale.
