League-Leading Wolverines Next for Skaters

The Nebraska-Omaha hockey team will host the CCHA's top-ranked team, Michigan, on Friday and Saturday at the Qwest Center.
UNO (15-10-3, 11-8-3 CCHA) brings a four-game unbeaten streak (3-0-1) and a five-game home winning streak into the weekend series. Michigan, ranked sixth in the two major college hockey polls, are riding a three-game unbeaten streak (1-0-2) into the weekend.
The Wolverines (20-7-3, 17-3-2 CCHA) lead the all-time series 12-3-2, including a 5-1-2 record in Omaha. UNO's only home win over Michigan came on February 3, 2001.
Last season, the two teams met in the CCHA Playoffs in Ann Arbor. Michigan won the series 2-1 with a 5-2 comeback win in game 3.
Maverick officials are anticipating record crowds for this weekend's series with the Wolverines. Last year's series with UM in Omaha set the UNO attendance record for a single game (10,034) and a series (19,214).
