JJ Smith Repeats on NCC All-Academic Team

JJ Smith has been named to the North Central Conference's All-Academic team for a second straight year. The junior forward from Lincoln is one of four who are repeat members of the 13-member team, which is selected by a vote of the league's sports information directors.
Smith carries a 3.95 cumulative GPA while majoring in elementary education. She earlier was named second-team all-distrtict on the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America Team by the College Sports Information Directors of America.
Smith's Maverick teammates Chelsie Groslie, Sara Myers, Lindsey Petersen and Andrea Schoepf all earned honorable mention.
