UNO Ends Florida Trip With Win

BRADENTON, FL -- The UNO baseball team extended its winning streak to seven games with a 3-1 victory over St. Joseph's College on Thursday.
The Mavs took a 1-0 lead in the first on an RBI double by Lyle Lafountain. UNO scored two more runs in the third inning on Josh Shirk's RBI double and David Bodnar's sacrifice fly.
UNO used eight different pitchers in the game and allowed only four hits. James Adams was credited with the win.
The Mavs went a perfect 5-0 on its spring trip to the sunshine state. UNO scored 27 runs in five games while allowing only 14.
Nebraska-Omaha (9-2) is set to play Northwest Missouri State in a noon doubleheader on Saturday at the CU Sports Complex.
